Instructions

  • Research: Students will research common Jewish American foods (e.g., bagels, latkes, brisket, challah) and the traditions behind them.

  • Cooking Demonstration: If possible, invite a guest (e.g., a parent or community member) to demonstrate how to make a Jewish dish, or show a video.

  • Recipe Book: Each student will write a recipe for a Jewish American dish, explaining its cultural significance and when it is typically served.
